Local governance is known as one of the main sources of local participation in representative democracy. Realization of people's participation, which forms the main foundation of democracy, through local governance, which is known as the closest executive mechanism to people's needs, can directly affect the quality of democracy at the national level. In Türkiye, mayors and city councils are known as the most obvious symbols of governance and local democracy. Mayors have significant powers in the political-executive system of this country, and the parties that control municipalities have many tools and facilities to strengthen their political and social base. Also, due to the close connections that are established in local governance between parties and local residents, reaching the post of mayor, especially in Turkish cities, is an important exercise to introduce the future politicians of this country. This research is a qualitative study in nature that analyzes the results of the 2024 local elections in Turkey using a descriptive-analytical method and library data collection. According to the results and descriptive-analytical evaluations of this research, in total, in this important competitive-political campaign, various factors were influential, some of them are called socio-economic factors (the realities of daily life of citizens at the local level) and the other part is very Its importance is related to the organizational problems and party base of the ruling party and new developments in the opposition, which were very influential in the results of this election.
