The United Arab Emirates is one of the countries of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council, which, while having extensive economic relations with Iran, also suffers from strong conflict of interests with Iran in regional and international policies. As a result, it has united with the United States and Saudi Arabia in carrying out various actions against Iran's national interests. On the other hand, in line with good neighborly relations and also because of the many economic advantages that Dubai has for Iran, Iran has tried to avoid any countermeasures against the UAE. This research aims to answer the question, what are the factors influencing Iran's foreign policy towards the United Arab Emirates?
The method governing the current research, which has a descriptive-analytical nature, is based on the Dimtel technique and is based on the assumption that Iran's foreign policy towards the United Arab Emirates includes divergent and convergent factors.
The findings of the research showed that variables such as different views on international politics, UAE armed forces, military agreements, differences over the issue of Yemen, etc. in the region indicate high interaction and a strong systemic connection with other variables. And factors such as the fear of increasing the influence of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the lack of efficient human resources, the lack of American military response, etc. have been shown as handicaps.
The results of the research show that what causes extensive cooperation between the two governments is mostly economic and what causes separation is political divergence.
